This is my mothers mother Desdia Porter Smith. She was such a sweet lady! we went to her house most Sundays. She was a very good cook. i remember my favorite was steak and she had a huge pot with lots of brown gravy and lots of biscuits. The way we would have steak is some neighbor and friends would killed a beef calf and share through the neighbor hood. This is how we stayed close to our cousins. My grandmother lived a long life. The last years of her life she was in a nursing home with Demintia. Even though she didn’t know us we still went to see her. I had a good grandmother.
